Media advance small grains research
The Bangor Daily News, the Penobscot Bay Pilot, Morning Ag Clips and the Daily Bulldog shared a news release about University of Maine researchers assisting in a multi-institutional effort to create new strategies for producing and marketing small grains like bread wheat, naked barley, hulless oats, rye and others. Cornell University is leading the project, and has recruited Ellen Mallory, a professor of sustainable agriculture and University of Maine Cooperative Extension specialist, and Jonathan Malacarne, a UMaine assistant professor of agricultural economics, to serve as co-principal investigators.
