UMaine Extension offers agricultural research updates March 10

University of Maine Cooperative Extension will offer three research updates for the agricultural industry 7–8 p.m. March 10. 

Scheduled speakers are Andrei Alyokhin, a University of Maine professor of applied entomology, who will talk about the persistence of the Colorado potato beetle; Aaron Buzza, an assistant scientist in UMaine’s School of Biology and Ecology, who will discuss the effect of late-season use of stylet oil; and Ek Han Tan, a UMaine assistant professor of plant genetics, who will highlight efforts to increase development of favorable traits in potato varieties. The three presentations are based on research funded by the Maine Potato Board.
