UMaine Extension 4-H sustainable fisheries club registration ends Feb. 15

University of Maine Cooperative Extension 4-H will launch a new club for youth in grades 3–5 about the science of sustainable fisheries that will meet online weekly from 3–4 p.m. Feb. 22–April 12.  

The 4-H Sustainable Fisheries Club will include learning about popular fish species in Maine, where they are found, fish DNA and hands-on science exploration. Internet access is required to participate. The club is hosted in partnership with Maine EPSCoR and the Maine-eDNA project. 

There is no cost to enroll; all materials will be provided. Register on the UMaine Extension 4-H club webpage by Feb. 15. Enrollment is limited to 12 members.
