Media announce DHHS funding to fight opioid emergency

News Center Maine, Mainebiz, WVII (Channel 7) and the Associated Press reported the University of Maine received nearly $500,000 from U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Health Resources and Services Administration to fight the opioid crisis. The money will be used to increase community-based training for behavioral health students. In total, Maine health centers, organizations and academic institutions received $5,997,351 from DHHS.
