2018 WiSTEMM Days to feature panel discussions, workshops, networking socials
Women in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Medicine (WiSTEMM) at the University of Maine will host several professional development, networking and community engagement events Oct. 17 and 18.
WiSTEMM Days events will be held 11:30 a.m.–7 p.m. in Buchanan Alumni House, McIntire Room on Oct. 17 and Stodder Hall, Room 57 on Oct. 18.
Discussions include “Women in Leadership,” “Queer in STEMM,” “Tenure and Promotion,” “Grad Student Work/Life Balance,” “Promoting your Research and Scholarship,” “Implicit Bias” and “What Happens When STEMM Meets TED?”
Both days include a lunch panel and end with a family-friendly networking social. Refreshments will be available throughout the day.
All members of the campus community are welcome to attend.
