WVII cites Gabe’s economic impact study in report on civil legal aid services

WVII (Channel 7) and the Associated Press reported an a recent economic impact study of civil legal aid services in Maine. The study, which was commissioned by Maine’s Justice Action Group and conducted by University of Maine economist Todd Gabe, found legal aid for Maine’s poor population boosts the state’s economy by more than $105 million annually. The study is expected to assist legal aid providers in future fundraising efforts, according to the report. More about the study is on the Maine Justice Foundation website.
