UMaine community invited to talk by astronaut Jessica Meir

The 30th anniversary of the Challenger Space Shuttle’s final flight will be observed with a lecture by NASA astronaut Jessica Meir at the University of Maine. Meir, a native of Caribou, Maine, will speak at 10 a.m. Jan. 27 at the Collins Center for the Arts, sponsored by Challenger Learning Center of Maine. Her appearance is an assembly for Maine schoolchildren, and members of the UMaine community are invited. To attend, UMaine employees and students must register online and show their MaineCard at the door.
