Newspaper Interviews Speaker for Upcoming UMaine Lecture
The Bangor Daily News interviewed Lilly Ledbetter, a national pioneer for equal pay, in advance of Ledbetter’s talk Saturday, June 2 in Orono.
Ledbetter is the keynote speaker for this year’s Maine NEW Leadership, an initiative for Maine women in college who are interested in become involved in politics. Mary Cathcart, co-director of the conference and a senior policy fellow at the Margaret Chase Smith Policy Center, which helps sponsor the program along with the University of Maine Cooperative Extension, was also interviewed for the article.
