Kim Research Noted in Newspaper Report
Carol Kim, a UMaine immunologist, was mentioned in a Central Maine Morning Sentinel story about research into the effects of arsenic on the immune system and cystic fibrosis. Kim is part of an $11 million grant to Dartmouth Medical School, $1.8 million of which is a National Institutes of Health grant to UMaine to explore the effects of arsenic on a healthy innate immune system and one compromised by the gene that causes cystic fibrosis.
