Comments from Kathryn Jovanelli, assistant coordinator of the UMaine Museum of Art, were included in a Miami Herald story about sculptor Gerry Stecca, whose use of clothespins has garnered him national attention. The museum recently hosted an exhibition of Stecca’s clothespin art, and one of his pieces is in the museum’s lobby. Jovanelli told the Herald that people love the whimsical, movement-oriented sculpture.
