Climate Change Lecture, Other Talks Advanced In Report

Tuesday’s lecture on climate change and the fall of the Roman Empire was advanced in the Bangor Daily News. Michael McCormick, the Francis Goelet Professor of Medieval History at Harvard University will speak on the subject at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, at the Collins Center for the Arts on the UMaine campus. McCormick will also speak at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 27 in the McIntyre Room of UMaine’s Buchanan Alumni House, following the annual initiation of UMaine’s Phu Beta Kappa chapter. The advance also included notice of a roundtable discussion and reading being held Friday and Saturday with Native American authors Lisa Brooks of Harvard University, Daniel Heath Justice of the University of Toronto, Craig Womack of Emory University and Pulitzer Prize nominee Cheryl Savageau.
