Volunteers Sought for Fresh Tomato Evaluation

The Consumer Testing Center in the University of Maine Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition is looking for about 100 volunteers to provide opinions of fresh tomatoes on Tuesday, Jan. 25. Volunteers can participate in one of two different sessions: 11 a.m.- 1:30 p.m., or  4-5:30 p.m. Testing sessions will take no more than 20-30  minutes to complete, and will be held in the Consumer Testing Center, Hitchner Hall 158 (in the new addition at the back of Hitchner Hall across from the Page Farm and Home Museum). Volunteers will receive $5 for their time.  If potential volunteers have an allergy to tomatoes or do not eat fresh tomatoes, they are asked to not participate.
