Anderson discusses PFAS-free biogel for firefighting on ‘Maine Calling’

Maine Public featured James Anderson, an engineer at the University of Maine’s Advanced Structures and Composites Center, on a segment of ”Maine Calling” to discuss an alternative to firefighting foam he is developing that is free from a group of chemicals known as PFAS: Firefighting BioGel. The gel is expected to be both safer for the environment and for those fighting fires. Anderson is working on the project in partnership with MaineMBA student Xander Karris.
