Grew receives honorary fellowship from Mineralogical Society of UK and Ireland
The Mineralogical Society of the United Kingdom (UK) and Ireland has awarded an honorary fellowship to Edward Grew, University of Maine research professor in geological sciences.
Grew is the first honorary fellow from the U.S. named by the society since the late Stanford University professor Rodney Ewing was elected in 2013. With Grew joining its ranks, the society now has 13 honorary fellows, six of whom reside in the U.S. Honorary fellows must reside outside the British Isles at the time of election.
