NYT Magazine names UMaine most economically diverse public university in New England
The New York Times Magazine published a list of the most economically diverse universities measured by the share of students who receive Pell Grants. When the list was published in September, the University of Maine was ranked as the top economically diverse public university in New England. It tied with seven other universities for 63 nationwide, with 26% of the entering class in 2020-21 having received Pell Grants.
