Culturefest
Every year, the students from all over the world showcase their countries in the annual Culturefest. Since the MSA consists of students from many different countries, they have their own table exhibit representing the various aspects of the Islamic culture.![MSA at Culturefest in 2016](https://umaine.edu/msa/wp-content/uploads/sites/402/2011/07/a2f3c5c3-b0e5-466b-aed3-9450f63abd9c-1228x592.jpg)
Islamic Awareness Week
Every year, around March and April, the MSA hosts Islamic Awareness Week, partnering with the local mosque and the UMaine Honors College.![Kelly tabling for the MSA during Islamic Awareness Week](https://umaine.edu/msa/wp-content/uploads/sites/402/2011/07/aa8c174a-8fc2-4d28-a409-221b3fc6f56a-1268x592.jpg)
MSA Meetings
At the end of the year, the MSA gets together for one last meeting in the school year rocking MSA gear. MSA Meetings are filled with fun activities, study circles, food (way too much of it), and, of course, team-bonding activities!![End of the year MSA Photoshoot](https://umaine.edu/msa/wp-content/uploads/sites/402/2011/07/1af517b8-6404-4597-8723-530e6ccb76bd-1268x592.jpg)
Reviving the Islamic Spirit
The Reviving the Islamic Spirit (RIS) Conference takes place every December in Toronto, Canada. The MSA has been fortunate enough to be sponsored by the Student Government of UMaine to attend for many years in the past.![RIS Conference 2016 in Toronto](https://umaine.edu/msa/wp-content/uploads/sites/402/2011/07/53947ce9-1ddd-4eb2-b1e8-8aed9a2503d5-1268x592.jpg)
