Talks in this session will focus on sustainability research by graduate and undergraduate students in Maine. Each presenter will have 5-minutes for their talk. PowerPoint presentations are allowed but will be limited to 10 slides.
Call for Abstracts
Students involved in sustainability research at any Maine college or university are encouraged to send in an abstract for a lightning talk. We especially welcome abstracts from students involved in Mitchell Center research projects including projects supported by the Mitchell Center’s Sustainability Research Grants program. A panel of Mitchell Center faculty will select up to eight presentations from the submitted abstracts.
Lightning Talk Rules: Presenters will have 5-minutes for their talk. PowerPoint presentations are allowed but will be limited to 10 slides.
Abstract Submission: Abstracts should be brief (250 words or less) and must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Friday, October 17 to umgmc@maine.edu. Abstracts should include the following:
- Title
- Presenter’s name and program of study
- Email address
- Advisor’s name
- Brief description of talk.
Students will be notified of their selection no later than Monday, October 20.
