Ross and Smith organize Earth Day Networking Session
Over 25 research posters and displays were presented by students and researchers at a 3-hour Networking Session for Sustainability Solutions on Friday, April 22 in Memorial Union. The event was attended by close to 100 people and provided opportunities for attendees to discuss new research ideas, build collaborations on interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary related topics, and learn about sustainability projects and activities. This Earth Day event was sponsored by the Mitchell Center for Sustainability Solutions. Lauren Ross, an associate professor in Civil & Environmental Engineering and Mitchell Center faculty fellow, and Sean Smith, an associate professor in Earth & Climate Sciences and the Mitchell Center organized the event. A list of posters and abstracts displayed at the event are available from the Watershed Process and Estuary Sustainability Research Group website.
