Haedicke and Ross receive Faculty Research Awards
Mitchell Center Faculty Fellows Michael Haedicke and Lauren Ross have received UMaine Faculty Research Awards to further their work.

Haedicke, an associate professor of sociology, was given a summer research award for his project, “Constructing and Contesting Climate Adaptation Plans in Southern Louisiana.”

Ross, an assistant professor of civil and environmental engineering, received a scholarly equipment and materials award for her project, “Coastal Resource Management Solutions with Land-Sea Connection Diagnostics.” Her research is also supported by a WRRI 104g grant through the Mitchell Center.
The Faculty Research Fund program aims to support faculty in establishing or maintaining high-quality research programs and other creative achievements. Funding is provided by the Office of the Vice President for Research and Dean of the Graduate School through a competitive process.
