Mechanical Engineering Technology

The team received the ordered aluminum from Bangor Steel. After seeing the aluminum in person we realized the size piping we ordered was much too large. The team went back and redid the design stress calculations to see what sizing we needed and then another order was placed as well as the old aluminum was returned. The team also went back over all the Solidworks parts to resize the pipes and redesign the connections. Multiple test infusions were ran until the team was comfortable with the process. The team received a donation of Carbon fiber that will now be used for all the infused parts.
