Fulbright UK Summer Institutes

The Fulbright UK Summer Institutes are three to four week programs for US undergraduate students, who have no or very little travel experience outside North America. Participants can explore the culture, heritage, and history of the UK while experiencing higher education at a UK university. . 

2026 University List has yet to be announced, Summer 2026 applications are not yet open. Each Institute focuses on a different topic, allowing you to expand your knowledge of your particular area of interest. Outside of the classroom, there will be opportunities to explore the UK cultural sites.

  • Round-trip airfare
  • Tuition and fees at the host institution
  • Accommodation
  • In some cases, a small daily allowance for meals
  • Be a U.S. citizen
  • Have a minimum GPA of 3.6
  • Have at least two years of undergraduate study remaining after the Institute finishes (August 2025)
  • Have had no or very little study/travel experience outside of North America
  • Be at least 18 years old by the start of the program
