Are you looking to become a secondary school teacher of American history, American government, or civics classes? James Madison Fellowships provide support for graduate degrees that focus on the Constitution – its roots, its formation, its principles, and its development.
Benefits:
- Up to $24,000 in funding prorated over the period of study, no more than $12,000 in one academic year.
- Funding covers tuition, books, required fees, and room and board if the student is required to live away from their place of residence.
Eligibility:
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Be a teacher, or plan to become a teacher, of American history, American government, or civics classes where you will teach topics on the Constitution at the secondary school level (grades 7–12).
- Possess a bachelor’s degree or plan to receive a bachelor’s degree no later than August 31 of the year in which you are applying. (Seniors)
