Are you applying for or want to learn more about the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship? Have you started drafting the essays for the application? The Office of Major Scholarships is hosting a writing and information session on Wednesday, February 12th from 5:00 – 6:00 PM, location TBD. Students will have the chance to ask questions, begin drafting their essays, revise content already written, and get one-on-one feedback from our office.
The Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program enables students on a Federal Pell Grant the opportunity study or intern abroad, providing them with skills critical to our national security and economic prosperity. This scholarship is funded by the U.S. Department of State.
Benefits:
- Up to $5,000 in funding to cover study abroad costs
- 12 months of noncompetitive eligibility hiring status for jobs within the federal government after receiving the scholarship
- Up to $3,000 of additional funding for students studying critical languages while abroad
