Have you ever thought about studying abroad? Do you know there is a scholarship that can help you fund the expenses associated with your travel?
The U.S. Department of State’s Gilman International Scholarship Program is an undergraduate grant program for U.S. citizens of limited financial means to enable them to study or intern abroad, thereby internationalizing their outlook and knowledge. The program provides awards of up to $5,000 for students who are U.S. citizens, Federal Pell Grant recipients, and studying at undergraduate level at a two or four-year institution.
Studying abroad during your undergraduate career can be a life-changing experience. Additionally, receiving a Gilman Scholarship and studying abroad will make you a more competitive candidate for jobs, other scholarships, and admission to graduate programs.
