The Goldwater Scholarships are awarded to sophomore and junior students with the ability and commitment to pursue research careers in mathematics and the natural sciences, as well as many engineering fields. Students awarded scholarships as sophomores are eligible for two years of support. Juniors may receive one year of support.
The Office of Major Scholarships will be joined by Goldwater Representative, Associate Professor Melody N. Neely, Ph.D. and past Goldwater recipients for a dedicated information session on Wednesday, October 15th from 11:00 am to 12:00 PM in Memorial Union’s Bumps Room .

* This scholarship has an internal nomination process. Students must be nominated to submit their application for national evaluation. Materials need to be submitted to the Office of Major Scholarships and to Goldwater faculty representativeMelody N. Neely, Ph.D. by campus deadline.
