NWP Budget Update
We have some encouraging news from Washington, DC. Funding of $25.6 million has been recommended for NWP for fiscal year 2011 by the Senate and House Appropriations Subcommittees on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies. The amount is the same as NWP’s fiscal year 2010 appropriation.
This recommendation is a positive sign and a tribute to the high-quality work, strong leadership, and consistent outreach to legislators by site leaders and TCs across the NWP network. The budget must still go through several steps before it is approved. We will keep you updated as the final budget is decided.
