Garden exploration and horticultural therapy program at Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens

Registration slots are limited but free! Please join MAIER at the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay on Saturday, April 27th from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.  If you or someone in your family is differently abled or neurodiverse (no official diagnosis are necessary) please join MAIER, and Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens for a great day to meet other families and explore the gardens, the trolls, and the trails. Eat lunch together in the timber frame gathering space (bring your own picnic). There will also be an exciting opportunity to participate in a horticultural art therapy program as part of your garden experience. Register for one of the art therapy times choose either 11:00 am – 12:00 pm, OR 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm. In these art experiences the emphasis is creating a physical connection with nature and doing a plant-based activity for overall well being. Visitors will work with their hands to propagate a plant, take home their propagation, and throughout the experience they will emphasize nurturing nature and ones self.
