Join the Museum for their winter “My Day to Play” events at the Maine Discovery Museum in Bangor. These special times are designed to provide children on the autism spectrum with a safe, comfortable environment to explore and to give families who face similar challenges a place to connect. Open to children on the spectrum and their families!
Check the museum website, their Facebook page, or contact the Museum to add your name to the “My Day to Play” email list for detailed description of each upcoming session.
This program was developed by volunteer Rosalyn Fisher, a retired OT experienced in working with children with ASD and the MDM Director of Education, Trudi Plummer.
These events are free to families impacted by ASD, but a suggested donation of $4.50 per family is suggested to help support “My Day to Play” events.
Call 262-7200 to register. Registration is not required but helps the Museum to plan the day.
