The University of Maine has various scholarship options to make UMaine affordable for international students. Students who wish to receive an I20 from UMaine need to complete the detailed Declaration of Finances and submit accompanying bank statements,

IMPORTANT NOTES REGARDING ESTIMATED COSTS:
The estimated costs provided above are made in good faith as a projection of anticipated expenses for the noted academic year at the time of its publishing. Changes to annual costs are announced yearly in July for the upcoming academic year following approval by the University of Maine System Board of Trustees. Subsequently, it is possible for actual costs to differ from the estimates published above.
The estimated costs provided above include the estimated cost of tuition, fees, housing, meal plan, books, mandatory health insurance, and allowance for personal expenses. For undergraduate students, the estimate is based upon full-time enrollment of 15 credit hours per semester, 30 credit hours per academic year. Students must take at least 15 credit hours per semester in order to graduate in four years.  For graduate students, the estimate is based upon full-time enrollment of 6 credits per semester and 3 in the summer.  Additional tuition applies to Business, Engineering and Nursing majors.  The estimated costs are averages and may vary from student to student. Actual expenses will depend on the student’s major and credit hours enrolled, type of university housing, type of meal plan. International students are required to have a health insurance plan while studying at UMaine.

Housing and Dining (Room and Board) Fees

Health Insurance

All international students at UMaine are required to have an international health insurance plan. Students can purchase the UMaine international health insurance plan or use an alternative plan and waive the UMaineplan.
