UMaine Health Connection Chat: Growing with Maine’s Lifelong Communities

Join us to learn about Maine’s age-friendly, lifelong community movement and to hear how the Lifelong Community Fellow program, a project of the UMaine Center on Aging and Maine Community Foundation, has increased the capacity of Maine communities to make changes that enhance the health and well-being of residents. The Lifelong Community Fellow Program matches established lifelong community leaders (Fellows), with communities that can benefit from their skills, experience, and talents.  We will start with examples of how lifelong community leaders have worked with residents and local organizations to co-create community changes that benefit residents of all ages in their own community. Then, Lifelong Community Fellows and the communities they have worked with will share how they have participated in and benefitted from the relationship.

Karen Campbell, Lifelong Community Fellow, Bangor Livable Communities
