Try on Leadership

The Graduate Certificate in Try on Leadership consists of 4 courses (12 credits total) that allow students to apply for conditional Assistant Building Administrator (045) certification through the Maine Department of Education. The course sequence includes:

EAD 615 The Principalship
EAD 651 Organizational Behavior in Education
EAD 531 School Law for Administrators
SED 520 Law and Policy Affecting Individuals

Each course meets live online, once a week, via Zoom. Courses can be transferred as electives into the M.Ed. in educational leadership program.

The Try on Leadership certificate will begin accepting applications for Summer 2022 on September 1, 2021.

This program will prepare students to be eligible for licensure within the State of Maine.
