This invitation-only ranking gauges the quality of online MBA programs based on four components: Program Score, Fortune 1000 score, Brand Score, and Prestige Score.
TheMaineMBA allows students to engage in interdisciplinary opportunities with twelve concentrations and three dual degree programs.
The University of Maine Graduate School of Business Workforce and Preferred Partners programs have been developed to help Maine employers recruit, retain, and develop the next generation of business leaders. With tuition discounts, on-campus recruitment opportunities, workshops, and events, and eliminated fees, prospective students and employers alike will benefit from the state’s premier MBA program. Workforce Partners Program benefits are available to any employee of any active member of any State of Maine Chamber of Commerce.
Up to six graduate assistantships are awarded competitively to outstanding full-time MaineMBA applicants each fall to work in business research and classroom settings. Assistantships include 18 credits of tuition coverage and a generous monthly stipend. Applicants wishing to be considered for an assistantship should complete the application no later than January 15th.
Deciding to pursue graduate education is an important decision. That’s why the Graduate School is committed to assisting prospective and current students with finding ways to fund their education. While the top three ways to receive funding support are through assistantships, fellowships, or scholarships, there are alternative ways to find support whether through loans or other third party sources.

Program Format: On Campus or Online
Application deadline: Rolling, however international applicants seeking an F-1 or J-1 student visa to study in-person in the United States will only be admitted to our MBA program's fall semester cohort. International students who wish to complete the program online from their home country may apply and start in any semester. Special exceptions may be considered for students currently in the U.S. on a student visa.
Test Required: GMAT for MBA; waivers available for previous relevant work or educational experience, visit https://umaine.edu/business/mainemba for details. No test required for Certificate. English Language Proficiency scores are required for all international students applying to the MBA unless the student has completed a bachelor's or master's degree in the USA or Canada (excluding Quebec province). There are no exemptions or waivers.
