Title: Graduate School Communication Graduate Assistantship
Department: Graduate School
Reports to: Digital Content Manager

Essential Duties:

  • Assist with the growth and development of the Graduate School’s social media platforms through
    • Developing interesting content ideas appropriate for the chosen platform
    • Collaborate on the direction of the social platforms
    • Manage requests for social media posts from internal and external parties as needed
  • Collect photo and video content for advertising and web initiatives as needed
    • Record/conduct interviews with faculty/staff/students as needed
    • Collect campus/local B-roll and photos
    • Attend pertinent events to obtain photos/video
  • Additional tasks as assigned including, but not limited to:
    • Create flyers and design social posts
    • Organizing photos and design files archive
    • Collecting data from Google Analytics and other advertising metrics for analysis
    • Assistance with transition to Marketing Cloud as needed
    • Special projects and other job duties from Graduate School’s Marketing & Communication staff as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

  • REQUIRED
    • Ability to work and communicate effectively as an active member of a remote team
    • Previous knowledge of DSLR camera operation for photos and video
    • Familiarity with Canva
    • Strong organizational and computer skills
    • A high degree of confidentiality and attention to detail
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • PREFERRED
    • Familiarity with video/photo editing software, specifically Adobe Creative Suite
    • Previous WordPress experience
    • Ability to lift and move +/- 50 pounds
    • Knowledge of general higher education systems and processes

The student applicant MUST have filed a FAFSA form and must be federal work-study eligible prior to admission.

This is primarily a remote position, however some travel and campus presence may be required.
