Graduate School – Communication Graduate Assistant
Essential Duties:
- Assist with the growth and development of the Graduate School’s social media platforms through
- Developing interesting content ideas appropriate for the chosen platform
- Collaborate on the direction of the social platforms
- Manage requests for social media posts from internal and external parties as needed
- Collect photo and video content for advertising and web initiatives as needed
- Record/conduct interviews with faculty/staff/students as needed
- Collect campus/local B-roll and photos
- Attend pertinent events to obtain photos/video
- Additional tasks as assigned including, but not limited to:
- Create flyers and design social posts
- Organizing photos and design files archive
- Collecting data from Google Analytics and other advertising metrics for analysis
- Assistance with transition to Marketing Cloud as needed
- Special projects and other job duties from Graduate School’s Marketing & Communication staff as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to work and communicate effectively as an active member of a remote team
- Knowledge of DSLR camera operation is required
- Familiarity with Canva is required
- A high degree of confidentiality and attention to detail required
- Familiarity with video/photo editing software (specifically Adobe Creative Suite) is preferred
- Previous WordPress experience is preferred
- Strong organizational and computer skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to lift and move +/- 50 pounds
- Knowledge of general higher education systems and processes is preferred
- Customer service experience is preferred

This is primarily a remote position, however some travel may be required.
