Calling all hikers, foresters, or anyone interested in the outdoors! If you’re interested in learning about how the Acadian forest changes as elevation increases, check out the research done by students of the Ecology and Environmental Sciences Program at Schoodic Point in Acadia National Park in a recent blog post (https://ees217.wordpress.com/2016/11/07/gaining-elevation-means-losing-vegetation/ ). This research is important to not only understanding how the forest changes over elevation, but also how it could affect the forest composition in the future as climate change progresses.
