Paul Mayewski and Sean Birkel to be featured in ‘Bangor Daily Brews’ conversation
Researchers with the University of Maine Climate Change Institute will take part in a sold-out conversation Sept. 24 hosted by the Bangor Daily News.
Maine’s upcoming bicentennial has the BDN editorial board thinking about how the state’s climate has changed in the past 200 years, and what the next 200 years could look like, according to the newspaper.
“Bangor Daily Brews: Climate change and Maine’s next 200 years,” will feature Paul Mayewski, Distinguished Maine Professor in the School of Earth and Climate Sciences and director of the CCI; Cindy Isenhour, a professor of anthropology and climate change and faculty associate in the Senator George J. Mitchell Center for Sustainability Solutions; and Sean Birkel, Maine State Climatologist and a research assistant professor at the CCI.
The event will be held at Sea Dog Brewing Co. in Bangor. More information is online.
