During this workshop we will discuss why these efforts support learning, and then explore several tangible ways to apply such strategies to your teaching practice.

Specific strategies around using iClicker's can lead to effective peer instruction, normalized risk-taking, and creating a greater sense of community. This workshop will provide an overview of how to use iClickers to achieve these goals in your classrooms, discussing strategies for think-pair-shares, gamification, and ice-breakers.
The first day of class - even the first few minutes - are critical in setting the tone, expectations and climate in a class. Join in a lively discussion of things not to do during this important time to connect with students and create a list of alternative strategies.
