Join long-time funded CFRU scientist, John Hagan of Our Climate Common, for a workshop based on his most recently funded CFRU work. John’s team is using LiDAR-derived canopy height models to pick up tall trees across Maine’s commercial forestlands and then ground truthing the data to assess for additional ecological late-successional attributes, such as lungwort lichen, large downed logs, and more. Come learn about the project process thus far and how Hagan’s work is changing the way we think about late-successional trees and stands.
This workshop will take place on Zoom from 9:30AM – 11:00AM on Thursday, December 7th, 2023.
