2023 U.S. – Canada Lobster Town Meeting

Next weekend from February 3rd to 4th is the 2023 U.S. – Canada Lobster Town Meeting. These meetings address current issues affecting the lobstering industry in both the U.S. and Canada. Fishermen, researchers, and managers from both sides of the border come together to foster dialogue and community. There will be four main sessions at this event, focusing on regulations, funding, market impacts, climate change, and new technological innovations.  Speakers from both the U.S. and Canada will be hosting panels, including representatives from Maine Lobster Marketing Collaborative, The Lobster Council of Canada, and the UMaine School of Marine Sciences.

The Lobster Town Meeting is supported by the Canadian American Center, and the University of Maine Lobster Institute. Head over to the UMaine Lobster Institute website to learn more!
