Outdoor Nation!
Outdoor Nation (ON) is a non-profit founded by a community of Outsiders dedicated to reconnecting millennials with the outdoors. We host Summits around the country, award grants for outstanding project ideas, lead outdoor outings, work with youth, and connect with others like us – all in an effort to mobilize a movement to get our generation outside.
What are we talking about?
Join the University of Maine and the community of Orono as we participate in our first Outdoor Nation Challenge to become the “most outdoorsy” school in the country. The challenge is a competition where over 90 schools nationwide go head-to-head to participate in the most outdoor activities from September 18 to October 15. Each school gains points when the students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members get outside! The school that has the most people to get outside will win the National Outdoor Championship.
