Kate Liberti
Kate Liberti is the Field Operations Director in the Brady Lab who primarily focuses on estuarine and coastal monitoring using buoy platforms and other autonomous oceanographic instrumentation. Kate also coordinates and performs the fieldwork for many of the lab’s external contracts. She received a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and a master’s degree in Oceanography from the University of Rhode Island and her doctorate in Oceanography from the University of Maine. Kate’s research has centered around understanding how complex estuarine processes can impact the carbonate system on daily to monthly scales, particularly the role of ecosystem metabolism and tides. Kate is also passionate about snowboarding, sailing, hiking, and baking with her family and friends.
