MAIER is offering this FREE event especially for older children, teens, and adults on the autism spectrum and their siblings, parents and/or caregivers. We will be offering two planetarium shows, one best suited for grade school children, and a second show best suited for teens and adults. This event is not recommended for very young children.
Please note that the planetarium is dimly lit and will be *very dark* during the show. Attendees must be able to remain seated for your safety. However, the sound will be a bit lower and there will be assistance available should you or your child need to leave during the show. We will have a comfort space available in the Center if needed.

Note: When registering, you will be asked to choose which show your family desires to attend. Registration will close when all seats have been filled. Attendees are expected to arrive in time to be seated by showtime.
1 pm Show: Polaris: The Space Submarine and the Mystery of Polar Night: Best suited for grade school students. As of 1/31/2020 all seats for this show have been assigned. A traveling penguin from the South Pole and a funny polar bear from the North pole meet on arctic sea ice. They become friends observing the night sky together and wondering why night is so long at the poles of the Earth. This mystery leads them on a scientific adventure by building an improvised spaceship to travel around the Earth to learn about seasons, visit Mars and Saturn to learn about ice in the solar system and how planets have similarities and differences which make them unique.
