George J. Mitchell Peace Scholarship Award Winner:

Michael Bailey, a third-year history major at the University of Maine, has been awarded the George J. Mitchell Peace Scholarship for the 2015–16 academic year and will study abroad in Ireland as part of the student exchange program.  Presenting the award to Michael is Dr. Jeffrey E. Hecker, Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost.

 

 

This year the CLAS Dean’s office is proud to announce that  the  Salutatorian for the Class of 2015 is from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

 

 Class of 2015 Salutatorian — Katelyn Massey

Katelyn is a psychology major with a concentration in development and a minor in communication sciences and disorders.  This fall, Massey will pursue graduate work in communication sciences and disorders at UMaine. She also has been selected for a clinical assistantship in UMaine’s Audiology Clinic.

At the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Outstanding Faculty and Student Awards ceremony, President Susan Hunter awarded Katelyn Massey with a medallion and congratulations on her college achievements.
