Texas born, LA-based artist Night Beats (Danny Lee Blackwell) establishes a riveting take on the intersection of psych-rock, jazz, blues, soul, hip-hop, and more, with latest release Rajan. Throughout the eleven tracks, Blackwell demonstrates a wide array of musical diversity, as well as musical talent.

Meghan Dowlen brings Wild Abandon to the 2023 music scene, a stark contrast from today’s music. A daughter of the late 70s, Wild Abandon shows Dowlen’s aptitude for sharp-tongued folk, demonstrating terrific wordplay, a little bit of twang, and so much more.

BEING DEAD, WHEN HORSES WOULD RUN
Austin, TX band Being Dead brings a distinctly unconventional sound with their second studio release, When Horses Would Run. No two songs are the same, and each of the thirteen tracks has their own unpredictable and intriguing factors.

FAR CASPIAN, THE LAST REMAINING LIGHT
Far Caspian (Joel Johnston) returns with sophomore LP, The Last Remaining Light. The melancholy record draws similarities to artists like Duster and waveform, while still maintaining its own identity. The Last Remaining Light demonstrates simplicity and effortlessness as a cohesive album.

THE JAPANESE HOUSE, IN THE END IT ALWAYS DOES

British singer-songwriter Japanese House (Amber Bain) returns with her second full length studio release, In The End It Always Does. Throughout this album, Bain demonstrates her unique sound and style, while exploring contradictions:
endings, beginnings, falling in love, and falling apart.

TIBERIUS, FISH IN A POND
Fans of Pinegrove and Car Seat Headrest- look no further! Tiberius, The four piece indie rock group released seven jam-packed tracks on their latest album, Fish In A Pond. The albumdisplays their musical talent as well as their lyrical intimacy.

TOFUSMELL, HUMOR
Rae Chen, better known as tofusmell, embodies the feeling of warm 90s folk throughout the 6 songs on Humor. A common theme throughout their music, Chen touches on the struggles that come with the identity of a trans and queer person.

SLEEPY GONZALEZ, MERCY KILL
Sleepy Gonzalez, the Vancouver natives, mesmerize with their soft vocals and catchy instrumentals on latest EP, Mercy Kill. Drawing inspiration from “chilled out shoegaze”, the band exhibits free flowing lyrics and poetic musings.
