MISSION

Here4TheKids is an education movement dedicated to abolition and confronting global systems of oppression, such as guns and fossil fuels, and conflict in Palestine, to create an equitable world for ourselves and future generations.

MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS

Members will:
– Lead discussions on current events and share how to take action as a community.
– Support/initiate local events for collective liberation.
– Ensure that our organization is aware and responsive to all individuals and communities we understand as vulnerable, such as marginalized communities.

Being a part of Here4TheKids means you are actively participating in the movement as much as anyone else. Your ideas matter, and everyone has something to bring to the table.

GOALS

Here4TheKids at UMaine will strive to provide a space for students to address oppressed communities by:
– Building coalitions with aligned organizations in the region, and bring awareness to their efforts (e.g., JVP chapter screening and discussion of Israelism, letter writing or calling campaigns to congress, marches, protests and direct action.)
– Raise funds to grow the movement for abolition and collective liberation.
– Consistently developing channels for discussion, advocacy and education.
