Elizabeth Oldfield

Elizabeth is an incoming junior and joined student government as a ELHS senator her first semester at UMaine as a sophomore transfer student. Before changing direction to a marine science major and French minor she studied international relations. Her interest in politics translated to student government well and she quickly came to care a lot about the work student government does.

As the Vice President for student leadership her goals include; filling all available senate seats, working to incorporate more outdoor spaces on campus, and providing a variety of leadership development and growth opportunities. 

Outside of student government Elizabeth is the president of the french club, to practice her french and enjoy the good food. She also spends a lot of time caring for her many houseplants which she often gets from the horticulture club. Outside of campus life, she enjoys swimming in lakes across Maine and reading books while hammocking.
