SUMMER INSTITUTE INFORMATION This summer institute for teachers of social studies, geography, history and French will provide participants with a comprehensive overview of the six elements of geography, historical foundations and contemporary cultural insights through firsthand experience in the province of Quebec.  Begin and end in Montreal with travel to Quebec City.

(2) Summer Institute for Teachers of French
June 27-July 3, 2010

Held on the UMaine campus and conducted entirely in French, this Institute will include film screenings, and presentations by experts, with a focus on using film in teaching to reveal culture.
