Marketing and Communications Support
The purpose of this position is to provide professional communication, marketing, public relations, and media leadership to research centers and academic departments at the University of Maine.
The Marketing and Communications Support Specialist provides a variety of services, including developing story concepts that highlight project accomplishments, events, activities, and programs, writing appropriate story pieces such as articles, press releases, videos, podcasts, etc. for the general public or specialized audiences, and produces additional communication, marketing, public relations, and informational tools such as newsletters, press releases, graphics, brochures, reports, posters, presentations, event materials, exhibits, podcasts, etc. in a variety of formats. This position also develops, expands and maintains project websites, and social media networking sites, photographs activities and events, creates professional quality video footage, and manages special media needs for conferences, workshops, activities, events, etc.
