General Description
Student is responsible for performing complex computer-related technical work using specialized skills and knowledge. Student exercises a high level of independent judgment and initiative under minimal direct supervision.
Duties (may include but not limited to)
Provides assistance, support and communication regarding complex technical work
Evaluates existing computer systems hardware
Performs system upgrades
Assists in installations, integrations and configurations
Assists professional and technical staff with programming
Operates, repairs and trains on highly sensitive projects
Performs research work and administrative tasks
Additional Requirements (may include but not limited to)
Has advanced computer skills
Exhibits a wide range of electronics knowledge
Shows extensive knowledge of computer software — specifics depend on department
Has the ability to work independently
Exhibits a high level of trustworthiness
Must sign a confidentiality agreement
