Integrating Research and Practice: Working Together to Support Robust Student Learning in STEM

Join us for an exciting two in-person days of plenary talks, workshops, and opportunities for discussion. The conference program will focus on strategies to help students succeed in the STEM classroom.
The June RiSE Conference is an annual event that provides educators of all levels the opportunity to network and learn about current education research that can positively impact student success in STEM classrooms.
The 2022 conference themes are:
- Teaching for Robust Understanding (TRU Framework)
- Building Inclusive Classroom Communities and Promoting Social Justice in STEM
- Engaging Students with Active Learning (K–16)
- Supporting Science Learning with Computing and Computational Thinking
Our keynote speaker will be Alan Schoenfeld, developer of the TRU Framework which describes quality dimensions for different teaching practices. Dr. Schoenfeld is the Elizabeth and Edward Conner Professor of Education and Affiliated Professor of Mathematics at the University of California at Berkeley.
The registration fee is $225. Registration includes meals Sunday dinner through Tuesday lunch and Sunday/Monday night lodging for those 70+ miles from campus. The registration fee is waived for specific communities. Registration closes at noon on Wednesday, June 15th.
