- Academic Affairs Leadership Retreat (August 3-4).
- President’s Cabinet Retreat (August 8-9).
- Research Learning Experiences (RLEs) welcome over 500 first-year students across the University of Maine System (UMS).
- Worked with two external firms to search for an interim Vice President for Enrollment Management (VPEM).
September 2022
- Dawn Medley, Vice Provost for Enrollment Management and Retention at SUNY Stony Brook, completed a two-day intensive external review of enrollment management functions at UMaine (September 6-7).
- VisionPoint Marketing firm launches the Fall 2023 media campaign for enrollment management.
- Academic Leadership Breakfast with Associate Deans, Chairs, and Directors to discuss Strategic Enrollment & Retention.
- New Campus Welcome Center opens at the Ferland Engineering Education and Design Center.
October 2022
- Interim Vice President for Enrollment Management (VPEM) Norm Jones begins.
- RLEs and Gateways to Success (GTS) Request for Proposals launched across all seven UMS universities.
November 2022
- Vice President for Enrollment Management (VPEM) Search launched, chaired by Dean Emily Haddad.
- Request for Proposals (RFPs) put out for Financial Aid Leveraging and Enrollment Marketing Strategies.
- The first draft of the Strategic Enrollment & Retention Action Plan was released and shared with Cabinet and Academic Affairs planning group.
- First Meeting with Board of Visitors to discuss Strategic Enrollment & Retention Action Plan.
December 2022
- Funding for Gateways to Success announced, to be distributed to UMS universities for Fall 2023.
- Pathways to Careers (PTC) Request for Proposals launched across all seven UMS universities.
- Financial Aid Leveraging contract awarded, and work begins.
- New spring out-of-state and on-campus visits and open houses are scheduled with university-wide collaboration.
January 2023
- The second draft of the Strategic Enrollment & Retention Action Plan was released and shared with Cabinet and Academic Affairs planning group.
- RLEs system-wide workshop held.
- Out-of-state enrollment management events begin.
February 2023
- Associate Provost for Student Success & Innovation T. Scott Marzilli begins.
- The final draft of the Strategic Enrollment & Retention Action Plan released.
- Second Meeting with Board of Visitors to discuss Strategic Enrollment & Retention Action Plan.
- VPEM Search finalists on campus.
March 2023
- Chief Marketing & Communications Officer Meredith Whitfield begins.
- Kevin Coughlin accepts Vice President for Enrollment Management (VPEM) position, beginning June 2023.
- On-Campus Accepted Student Days begin.
- Strategic Enrollment & Retention Action Plan was formally launched and shared with Campus Community for feedback and participation.
March 2023
